Directional Hypothesis
Directional Hypothesis is the one in which the direction of the relationship has been specified
Why researchers choose directional hypothesis
Researchers choose the directional way of hypothesis because the variables involved in this, are interlinked and dependent, show the effect on one another. Researchers find the solution of the problem in a systematic way because first variable give the direction for the next step.
Non-Directional Hypothesis
Non-directional hypothesis is the one in which the direction of the association has not been specified. The relationship may be very strong but whether it is positive or negative has not been postulated
Why researchers choose non-directional hypothesis
The non-directional type is also used but in this type the variables are just interlinked and not dependent. This also gives the researchers the enough information but does not give the further direction they have to find the next step by self. The variables are to be defined by self.
