Samsung has just announced the launch of Solstice II mobile phone, which will be available in US on November 7.
Samsung, which is a top mobile phone brand of the South Korean manufacturer, has announced Solstice II, the successor of the earlier Solstice feature-phone. Samsung Solstice II mobile phone comes with Samsung’s TouchWiz 2.0 user interface.
Features: The device includes a 3-inch touchscreen display with 65K colors support and 400 x 240 pixel resolution, built-in GPS receiver and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support. It has the 2 megapixel camera, and 1,000 mAh battery rated for up to 5 hours of talk time or 250 hours of standby, same as its predecessor. The mobile phone also include: 256 MB internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 16GB), microUSB, as well as a mobile Web browser. The mobile phone measures 109 x 54 x 12mm and weighs 95g (battery included). It is quad-band compatible (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) and supports HSDPA 7.2Mb/s technology. The Samsung Solstice II also supports Vlingo, a subscription-based voice command application that lets users make calls, compose text messages, search the web, and more using their voice. Solstice II can be tagged as a mid-range quick messaging handset flavored with the TouchWiz 2.0 UI, which offers users one touch access to frequently used applications and social networking services.
