The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has banned website browsing via Blackberry on several cellular networks.
“The ban has been placed by the PTA. It is not clear when it will be lifted,” said a customer service officer of Pakistani cellular company; Mobilink. Same is said by Telenor:
“It is not known when the ban will be lifted, but (we hope) that the ban will end in November.” Only email can be sent and received through Blackberry now.
