A beta version of Google Instant is now available for many 2.2 Android mobile devices iPhone, as well as iPods running on iOS 4, in United States.

Mobile Google Instant is similar to its desktop counterpart, which was launched this September. Currently, Google Instant for mobile phones is only available in English, but Google plans on adding more languages and bringing Google Instant service to other countries and mobile devices.

Google Instant Comes to Mobile: For trying this latest mobile service from Google, all one needs to do is tap the “turn on” or “turn off” link. One must tap the “turn on” link beneath the search box while visiting Google.com on a mobile device. Mobile users are advised to wait for a bit and refresh the page if the “turn on” option isn’t immediately visible.

Features: Google Instant offers a list predicting what mobile users are searching for based on what they type. The first prediction’s results will automatically appear on the mobile phone’s screen. To access the remaining results, mobile users just have to tap their fingers on the other listed predictions. If they press “enter” or the search button, the predictions will be skipped in favour of results that match the exact search terms.

Compatibility: The service is best designed to work on 3G and Wi-Fi networks.
