During Nokia World in London, Nokia announced that a “completely updated,” version of its mobile application store, the Ovi Store, will be available on its Symbian^3 mobile phones.
Nokia has also introduced its latest smartphones, including the C7, E7, C6-01 and N8 to the 3,000 developers, journalists, operators and business partners who turned up for the two-day Nokia World event on Sept 14 and 15. The latest mobile devices were nice looking and sported touchscreens and new display technologies, these are the two key features that are must-have for smartphones today.
Latest Mobile Phones Announced at Nokia World: The Nokia E7, which is being described as the ultimate business smartphone by the company, features email and comes equipped with a 4-inch display that features Nokia ClearBlack technology. The E7 is equipped with a sliding QWERTY keyboard. The handset is expected to hit the UK store shelves in the last quarter of this year. The C6, C7 and N8, also run the Symbian 3 operating system. These handsets feature multiple homescreens, multitasking, access to social networks, email and music via Ovi Music. Users will be able todownload mobile applications and games from the Ovi Store. The C6 comes equipped with a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen and just like the E7 smartphone it has Nokia ClearBlack technology. The Nokia C7 smartphone comes equipped a slightly larger a 3.5-inch AMOLED display.
Latest Mobile Phones’ Price: The C6 and C7 will be available with estimated price tags of €260 and €335, respectively, in Eurozone. The much-anticipated Nokia N8 handset comes with a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen and a 12-megapixel camera. The smartphone will cost will be available with a pricetag of £429.
Updated Version of Ovi Store: The latest version of the Ovi Store includes a friendlier user interface, and a collections feature that lets users quickly access popular apps and games.
Latest Mobile Applications: Recently available and upcoming mobile applications, which include popular titles such as Angry Birds, foursquare, Need for Speed Shift, and Real Golf 2011 are also available on Nokia’s Ovi Store.
