Blog: Apple to Release ‘iPad 2′ in April 2011

Apple is expected to release the latest version of the iPad in April 2011, while shipment of the unites will begin from February 2011.

Foxconn Electronics, the Chinese factory that makes components for many Apple products, is expected to produce an initial shipment of around 400,000 to 600,000 units of the ‘iPad 2’ in February. The iPad 2 is expected to feature a high resolution retina display, similar to the kind found on the iPhone 4, as well as front-facing camera for making FaceTime video calls, and an integrated gyroscope.
