Oracle and its employees with Oracle’s Matching Gifts program have raised $398,920 USD to support victims of recent floods in Pakistan.

The employee donations and the company match will go to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), which is currently delivering aid to flood victims.

“The monsoon flooding was truly devastating for millions of Pakistani families,” said M Ahsen Javed, Managing Director, Oracle Pakistan and South Asia Growth Economies – West. “At Oracle, we are committed to being a vital, contributing partner to the world community and addressing community need. I am tremendously proud of how the company and our employees have joined together to support the IFRC and assist the victims of this natural disaster.”

Pakistan’s severe monsoon flooding affected more than 20 million people. Thousands have been killed or injured and millions are in need of food, clean drinking water, and medical care.

The IFRC is the world’s largest humanitarian organization, with 186 member National Societies. Disaster response is the largest part of the IFRC’s work and they provide assistance to over 30 million victims of disasters annually.
