This assignment has been designed to enable you to understand the concepts of:

· Shift Registers
Guidelines:
· Perform/write all steps while solving the problems.
Assignment:
Question No. 1 [Marks: 6]
Show the output waveform of 6-bit serial in serial out shift register for specified data input (110101) and clock signal. Assume that register is initially cleared.
Question No. 2 [Marks: 2+2]
What two principal functions are performed by a shift register? How many clock pulses are required to enter a byte of data serially into an 8-bit shift register?
Note: You can use Microsoft Paint or MS Visio to draw output waveform.
